For some reason, I am still able to run the application, and noticed that the process system. It either will work without problems because it was implemented to use your system memory also or because you don't have enough VRAM it could behave in unexpected ways.

If the application requires 2GB of VRAM then having more system memory won't really help unless the application was designed to do so.

This server is shared among other colleagues, so I am not really allowed to allocate all of the GPU memory. On the website of Tensorflow, I found out these instructions to set a threshold to the used GPU memory. I have two questions regarding these: 1. Tensorflow provides a few options as alternatives to its default behavior of allocating all available GPU memory which it does to avoid memory fragmentation and operate more efficiently. These options are:. Learn more.

Community and Moderator guidelines for escalating issues via new response…. Feedback on Q2 Community Roadmap.Game running slow? It could be your frames-per-second FPS. This guide will attempt to help you, the player, discover methods for improving your FPS.
First and foremost, you must know where you are starting from, a base point to determine if any changes improve your FPS or make it worse. The second method is to have your Rust client show your FPS. After starting the Rust client, select F1 and go to the console screen.
Once you connect to a server, your FPS will be shown in the lower left corner, in a large white font. This is only for Rust and will not be shown for other games.
If you can afford to go better, do so. If not, let us look at what can be done. Start by closing other programs on your machine a fresh reboot is never a bad idea. Next, set the game graphics settings to mid-range values. To make changes press the ESC key. Do this the first time before joining a server. Then select the options tab looks like a gear. These settings have negligible effect on FPS.
Change your settings to the low settings shown in parentheses after each item. Please note, the settings in the images do not reflect the highest performance, these are examples of the options. Causes blurring around edges that can be VERY annoying. Now you can join a server. Start with a no-pop or low-pop server. Build a small building and get inside. Do this so that you will be safe when you are in the menu making changes. But, realize this is Rust, and anything can happen.
It is recommended that you only make one change at a time. Then go play for a few minutes and see how the change affects your FPS and game play.Register Now!

The i7 hq and gtx should be running these games flawlessly, but I have relatively low fps in both games. In-game settings from low to ultra don't seem to change the fps by much. Things I have done to try to remedy the problem: - Tried both default VGA drivers from MSI website and latest nvidia drivers cleaned with DDU in safe mode before each install - Latest intel graphics drivers - Power mode set to high performance - Prefer maximum performance and high performance settings in Nvidia Control Panel, vsync off.
Make sure you have the Windows power plan set to Maximum Performance and not Balanced, and monitor the CPU temperature to make sure that it isn't overheating and downclocking - just above 90C is usually where Intel CPUs start throttling down.
There could be something else causing it, like a bad driver install. Quote from: arestavo on November, DX9 games are notoriously single threaded, meaning only 1 CPU core is used for the game. You can set "Prefer Maximum Performance" in the Nvidia control panel to force the GPU to run at full speed which may help with those sudden drops in smoothness. Thanks for the info! It's quite a shame that my 4-year old laptop with a gtx m gets similar fps to my new one in CS:GO.
It just didn't really make sense that my friend's laptop with an i7 hq and gtx gets higher and more consistent fps than me in both CS:GO and Pubg running the same settings.
Regarding setting "Prefer Maximum Performance" in nvidia control panel, I had already done so and it didn't seem the solve the issue with the GPU downclocking. I had already tried fixing this with uninstalling through DDU in safe mode but it still seems to persist. Overall, this laptop is very beautiful and quite the beast. I found another thread on this forum that has basically the exact same specs and similar fps problems. He claims to have been able to fix it through an unlocked BIOS.
It is something that I do not want to risk flashing. Marked as best answer by edisonho12 on November, Getting the exact same RAM model will avoid having random blue screen of deaths should you decide to go dual channel.
No, dual channel isn't a magic fix-all, but it can help. This won't necessarily increase your FPS, and each game will likely need different DSR resolutions for an optimal experience. And for what it's worth, DX12 was a huge step forward in helping reduce CPU bottlenecks by natively being able to utilize many CPU cores, unlike DX9s 1 core, and DX11s 1 primary core with a few secondary cores that game developers had to actively code into their game engines.
Any solution which not involve to buy more hardware? Quote from: jpogil on January, I would also recommend uninstalling the Nahimic audio software. That is bogging down the performance.During these challenging times, we guarantee we will work tirelessly to support you. If a program is eating up your entire processor, there's a good chance that it's not behaving properly. A maxed-out CPU is also a sign of a virus or adware infection, which should be addressed immediately. It could also simply mean that your computer can't keep up with what you want to do, and an upgrade may be in order.

I have an i3 and 8gb ram MOBO hm prime I have formatted, installed latest drivers from driver booster and latest nvidia driver a couple of times and still havind the issue. GPU usage means nothing. What is the issue besides usage readings?
Low GPU Usage gaming
List the exact BIOS version. Low gpu usage is not an issue but can be normal. Any issues due to this stuttering, low fps, low clockrates? I already asked that before.
FPS is fine. I had diffrent hardware before, and i5 and 16gb ddr3 sam gpu.
Low GPU usage, any fix?
I though it could be my hardware Formatted Windows. Some time it sets by itself to high settings and some times to normal.
